How it works
An addition with a number missing — 9 + ? = 12 — and five tiles below it, one of them the hidden number. Sums stay within 2 to 18, so it is the addition facts asked backwards: knowing 9 + 3 = 12 is how you see the gap must be 3. A correct pick fills the gap and scores; a wrong one counts against and the round moves on.
