Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Expresswala Academy Maths Tuition point does with the information you give us through this website, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to be agreed to without reading.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or book a demo class, we collect:

  • the student's name and class
  • a parent or guardian's name and phone number
  • an email address, board, school and message, if you give them
  • which page the enquiry came from, and any campaign tag in the link you followed

We do not ask for and do not want anything else. We never ask for a payment card, a bank detail, an Aadhaar number or any other government identifier through this website.

If your child enrols and we publish a result, we hold the marks statement you give us as evidence for that result. It is visible only to academy staff and is never published.

Children's information

Almost everyone we teach is under eighteen, so this section is the important one rather than an afterthought.

  • Enquiries about a child must be made by a parent or guardian. By submitting one you confirm you are that parent or guardian.
  • We do not track children's behaviour across the internet, we do not build profiles of them, and we do not show them advertising.
  • We publish a student's name, photograph or results only with the written consent of a parent or guardian, given separately from the enquiry itself. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and we will remove the material.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

We hold it to answer your enquiry, arrange a demo class, and keep a record of what was discussed and agreed. The basis is your consent, given when you submit the form — and consent you can withdraw.

Campaign information tells us which pages and advertisements actually bring families to us, so we can stop paying for the ones that do not. It is never used to identify you.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside the academy. We do not sell, rent, or share enquiry information. Within the academy it is visible only to staff who handle admissions.

Two services process technical information on our behalf, and neither receives the contents of your enquiry:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
  • Google Analytics, which records page views and interactions such as tapping a phone number.

Some lesson pages embed videos from YouTube and documents from Google Drive. Those load from Google when you open the page. We use youtube-nocookie.com so a video sets nothing until you press play.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website leaves in your browser. This site uses two kinds:

  • Ones it cannot work without — remembering your session and protecting forms from being submitted by another site. These cannot be switched off, and they identify nobody.
  • Analytics — set by Google Analytics to tell a returning visitor from a new one. You can block these in your browser settings without breaking anything on the site.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and demo bookings are kept for three years from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation that pauses over an exam season. After that they are deleted.

Records of a student who enrolled are kept for as long as we teach them and for three years afterwards. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

How it is protected

The website is served over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed, never in a readable form. Access to enquiry records requires an account, and accounts are given only to staff who need them.

No system is perfect. If information we hold is ever exposed, we will tell the people affected and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

What you can ask us to do

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you and what we have done with it
  • correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • delete it, where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for
  • name somebody to exercise these rights if you are unable to

You may also withdraw your consent at any time. Doing so does not undo what we did while it was given, and it may mean we can no longer arrange a class.

We answer these requests without charge. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If we change how we handle information we will change this page and update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you to notice.
